Help for Do-It-Yourselfers

Curtis Library has an extensive collection of Do-It-Yourself books but sometimes the best information is somewhere among our magazine back-issues. There is a HOW TO DO IT INFORMATION index on the web that has plumbed the resources of a respectable number of our print magazines. There is a A-Z Subject Heading Guide and a Keyword Search.

Among the Curtis periodicals indexed are:

BOATING WORLD
FAMILY CIRCLE
FAMILY HANDYMAN
FIBERARTS
FINE GARDENING
FINE HOMEBUILDING
FINE WOODWORKING
HARROWSMITH COUNTRY LIFE
HORTICULTURE
MODEL RAILROADER
MOTHER EARTH NEWS
ORGANIC GARDENING
POPULAR MECHANICS
POPULAR PHOTOGRAPHY
POPULAR SCIENCE
QUILTER'S NEWSLETTER MAGAZINE
SCIENTIFIC AMERICAN
SKY & TELESCOPE
SUNSET
THREADS
WOOD MAGAZINE
WOODENBOAT
WORKBENCH

So, the next time you're looking for plans for an arched footbridge or detailed drawings of a firewood storage option, you may want to see what our periodicals hold.
